Terms of use

Last updated: 12 October 2026

1. Who we are, and these terms

Dentoscore is run by an independent sole trader established in the United Kingdom, trading as Dentoscore.

Postal address: Dentoscore, 61 Bridge Street, Kington, HR5 3DJ, United Kingdom
Email: support@dentoscore.co.uk

Email is the quickest way to reach us. You can also write to us, or serve a formal notice on us, at the postal address above. If you need further trading details — for example to make a formal complaint or to exercise a legal right — email us and we will provide them to you in writing.

These terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of this website and service. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

Nothing in these terms removes or reduces your rights as a consumer under the law of England and Wales. If any part of these terms conflicts with those rights, your rights come first.

2. What Dentoscore is — and what it is not

Dentoscore is an independent revision aid for candidates preparing for Part 1 of the Overseas Registration Examination. It provides practice questions, mock papers, flashcards, notes and study tools. What each plan includes is set out on the pricing page.

We are not connected with the General Dental Council. Dentoscore is not affiliated with, endorsed by, approved by or associated with the General Dental Council, or any body that sets, administers or accredits the Overseas Registration Examination. Where we refer to the examination, we do so only to describe what our material is for.

We cannot and do not guarantee any examination result. Nothing on this site is a promise, prediction or assurance that you will pass. Whether you pass depends on many things outside our control.

Our content is study material, not professional or clinical advice. It must not be relied on for the treatment or care of any patient, and it is not a substitute for the official syllabus, official guidance, or your own professional judgement. Always check the current official requirements yourself — guidance changes, and ours may lag behind it.

Our questions and materials are written by us as practice material. They are not past examination papers and are not reproductions of real examination questions. We work to keep our content accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is free from error or omission, and you should treat it as one revision resource among several.

We have no access to examination content, marking schemes or candidates’ results. Anything we say about the format of the examination is our summary of public information, not an official statement — the General Dental Council’s own pages are the authority.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The service is aimed at qualified dentists preparing for registration in the United Kingdom, but anyone over 18 may use it.

You may use the service from anywhere, provided doing so is lawful where you are. It is your responsibility to check that.

4. Your account

5. What you may do with our content

Everything in the service — the questions, explanations, mock papers, flashcards, notes, design, text, graphics and software — belongs to us or to our licensors, and is protected by copyright and other rights.

While your account is active, we give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the content for your own private study only. You may make notes for yourself and take a reasonable number of screenshots for your own revision.

6. What you may not do

You must not:

Why this section is firm. The question bank is the business. It took a long time to write, it is what people pay for, and if it is copied and passed around there is no service left to run. We monitor for bulk extraction and we will enforce this section.

7. Availability and changes

We want the service to be available whenever you need it, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend it for maintenance, and we rely on third-party providers whose own outages will affect us.

We improve and change the service regularly. We may add, alter or remove features. If we withdraw something significant that you have paid for, section 8 explains where that leaves you.

We may correct or withdraw a question, for example when we find a mistake or learn that UK guidance has changed. We do not check every question continuously, so a question may not be updated as soon as guidance changes. A withdrawn question is not used in new sessions. If it was withdrawn because guidance changed, sessions you had already finished keep it in your score, because your answer was marked against the guidance at the time. If it was withdrawn because of a mistake, it is taken out of your scores, including sessions you have finished, which are recalculated. A mock paper uses the corrected version where there is one, or leaves the question out.

We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a failure of the internet, the power supply or a third-party service we rely on. If that happens, we will tell you and do what we reasonably can to limit the effect.

8. Payment, cancelling and refunds

Plans and prices

How payment works

Payments are taken through Stripe. The seller of record is Link, LLC, a Stripe company, shown as “Sold through Onelink” at the checkout. Your bank statement will read ONELINK* DENTOSCORE (some banks show LINK.COM* DENTOSCORE), and your receipt comes from Onelink. Onelink’s own terms for these purchases also apply to the payment. We never receive or store your card number.

Changing your mind

By law you would normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. Because your access starts straight away, at checkout we ask you to confirm that you want it to start immediately and that you understand you then lose that 14-day right. We also ask you to confirm that you agree to these terms and have read our privacy policy. We cannot take a payment without both, we record when you gave them, and we email you a confirmation straight after you pay — please keep it.

Refunds after that

When a plan ends

Your account, your progress and your saved sessions stay. You move to the free tier, and the paid content locks until you buy more time.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms — in particular section 6 — or where we must do so by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right. If we close a paid account for a serious breach of section 6, we do not refund the rest of the period. If we close your account for any other reason and you have done nothing wrong, we will refund the part you have not used.

You can stop using the service, or close your account, at any time. Closing your account yourself does not give you a refund of a plan you have already started, except as section 8 says.

If you delete your account by mistake while your plan still has time left, email us from the same address. We will check it against our payment records and add the remaining time to a new account. Your old progress cannot be recovered.

If an account is not used for 24 months, we delete it, after emailing the account’s email address at least 30 days before. Signing in before then keeps it. Accounts with paid time left are never deleted this way. Our privacy policy explains this in full.

10. Our responsibility to you

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way for:

Subject to that:

Please keep your own record of anything you would be upset to lose. We take care with your data, but this is a revision service and not a backup service.

11. Your data

How we handle your personal data is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of your agreement with us. It also explains what is stored on your device and how to change your choice about analytics — see cookies and similar storage.

Anything you enter into the service remains yours. You give us permission to store and process it so we can provide the service to you. Please do not enter information about real patients, or anyone else’s personal data.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change materially affects you — particularly if you are on a paid plan — we will give you reasonable notice, and you may close your account if you do not accept it. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

We will contact you by email at the address on your account, so please keep it up to date.

13. Governing law, and complaints

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your own country’s courts, and nothing here removes the protection of any mandatory consumer law that applies where you live.

If something has gone wrong, please email support@dentoscore.co.uk first — most things are quickest to fix directly. We aim to reply within five working days.

If we cannot settle a complaint between us, we will tell you so in writing, give you the name of an approved alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider that could deal with it, and say whether we agree to use it. You can also take the matter to court.
